By Muslim Mirror News,
Malerkotla (Punjab): While releasing a book on the Life of Prophet Mohammad ( SAW) at an impressive gathering here, the head Granthi (priest) of the highest Sikh temporal seat (Harmindra Sahib) Giani Gurbachan Singh said no religion teaches animosity to its followers. Underlining the cordial relations between Sikhs and Muslims, he said both religions believe in monotheism. He lauded the book on Prophet Mohammad in Punjabi language saying it will help people to know the true message of Islam and its teachings. The book named as “Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) – Itihas Nirmata” was penned by Noor Mohammad Noor who is a well- known Punjabi writer.
Speaking on the occasion, Mufti-e Azam, Punjab and All India Muslim Personal Law Board member Mufti Fuzailur Rahman Hilal Usmani said there is a need of publishing religious literature in various languages in order to dispel misgivings about any religion. Throwing light on Islam and its tenets, he pointed out that Islamic literature is not available in Punjabi language and Noor Mohammad’s effort in this regard is laudable.
why the headlines do not have peace be upon him or even SAW?
its a Muslimmirror or secular mirror????????
Its is MM bcz they always biased but surprisingly they have made their first mistake … 🙂
It is a pity religious scholars and religious leaders do not know the basics of religion. I pick out two comments from the report:
Giani Gurbachan Singh said no religion teaches animosity to its followers. He said both religions believe in monotheism.
Wrong on both counts!
Islam is a metaphysical duality by definition – in that it isolates a single god and everything else in the universe: as disparate entities.
Monoism (and Spinoza’s Monism too) – believes in the oneness of all that there is in the universe. “Ultimately, there is no difference between the self and the eternal – They are one and the same”.
Monotheism is the belief in one God. Monism is the belief that everything comes from one source. For “monism,” a scientist might say that all life comes from carbon: one element. There is theological reference to God in “monotheism,” but in “monism,” there is a simplistic philosophy that accounts for the basic nature of all things.
Sikh monism refers to God by various names.
