Aligarh, 8 Dec 2014 : A condolence meeting for Late SMA Kazmi, Former Advocate General, U.P. and President, United Muslim Organisation (UMO) was organised at district UMO headquarter in which several social, cultural, literary and milli organisations participated. Presiding over the meeting, General Secretary of UMO and President, Sir Syed Awareness Forum, Prof. Shakeel Samdani said that the death of Late Kazmi is an irreparable loss for Indian Muslims . In the last few years Adv Kazmi fully devoted himself for community work and perhaps this was the best part of his life. Late SMA Kazmi was not only a competent and farsighted lawyer but also had great interest in literature. He also created a place for himself in literary field also. He, as president of UMO, placed UMO at its peak and through his views he presented the Muslim view point in such a way that the difference of just and unjust, right and wrong became clearer. Prof. Shakeel Samdani further said that late Kazmi created a history when he pleaded the case of terror victims free of cost and that too against that government which had appointed him as Chairman, Minority Commission. Prof. Shakeel Samdani said that the real tribute to Adv Kazmi would be to carry forward his mission.
Renowned Islamic Scholar, Prof. Saud Alam Qazmi, Former Dean, Faculty of Theology, AMU, while expressing his grief and sorrow said that late Kazmi was one of those who used their intellect and professional skill to protect the democratic and secular values of India. He tried his best to promote tolerance and large heartedness enshrined in our constitution. Kazmi Sb was true patriot and a devout Muslim. His love for Islam, interest for Muslim issues and the struggle for restoring the minority rights will never be forgotten by the country. The nation has lost the true soldier of country and the Muslims have lost a real well wisher.
Former Chairman, Dept. Of Urdu, AMU, Prof. Aquil Ahmad said that S M A Kazmi was not only a renowned lawyer, scholar but also a social activist. His untimely death is a big loss for the millat. Renowned Dental Surgeon, Dr. Mubeen Siddiqui said that the rise of Adv Kazmi denotes his dynamism.
Rashid Usmani, Advocate,and Vice President, Income Tax Bar Association expressing his views said that Late SMA Kazmi has shown the path of success for the future generations and by adopting his path the youth can achieve success in their lives. Retired Bank Officer, Najam Abbasi said that Late Kazmi was not only a legal practitioner of high merit but was also the real leader of Muslims and downtrodden. He was always ready to share his knowledge and experience for the society.
Former, Cabinet Member, A M U S U, Shoaib Ali, Adv. said that Late Kazmi was an icon for budding law graduates and a vacuum has been created for law students and young lawyers. This is a loss for the entire legal fraternity. Nasim Shahid, President, Shams Educational Society said that a true soldier of the country and the millat has left the world who also did great service for the Urdu language.
Secretary, Sir Syed Awareness Forum, Mansoor Ilahi, sharing his experiences, said that Late Kazmi was a great lover of Aligarh Muslim University and whenever he approached him for any program he always responded by accepting the invitation. He delivered many lectures for Sir Syed Awareness Forum. He will always be remembered by the members of the forum.
In this meeting Maulana Obaid Iqbal Asim, Dr. Anjum Tasneem, Abdullah Samdani, Babloo Sherwani and Akbar Husain expressed their views. The meeting was also attended by Maazul Haq, Haider Ali Advocate, Nafees Ahmad Advocate, Atiq Ahmad Ansari, Ayesha Samdani, Mrs. Rubeena Khan, Dr. Mujib Ahmad, Danish Iqbal, Abdullah Farid and Ziauddin Ansari. The meeting came to an end after dua-e-maghfirat.
Late Kazmi Sahab was a nice orator, writer and lawyer. I have heard his speech many times in Sir Syed Awareness Forum program. His death is a great loss to the nation and Muslim community. May ALLAH grant him jannah. Ameen.
