Malappuram ( Kerala) : Department of Law, AMU Malappuram Centre inaugurated induction programme Deeksharambh. One week long Student Induction Programme (SIP) Deeksharambh for first year students of Law was inaugurated in the Moot Court Hall on Thursday.
Deeksharambh is an initiative by the UGC for all the educational institutions across the country.
Dr. Faisal K.P. (Director, AMUMC) inaugurated the induction programme and encouraged students to inculcate required professional skills as well as value based education. The programme began with the recitation of verses from the holy Quran by Mr. Abu Bakar, student of final year of Law.
Mr. Ghalib Nashter (Co-coordinator, Department of Law) presented the welcome address. He advised the students not to deviate from the path of studies.
Dr. Mohammed Basheer K. (Co-coordinator, Department of Education) while emphasizing realities of life told the students about the importance of focusing on a target and aim and not to deviate from it. This can only be achieved through proper time management.
Mr. Ahsan Sadiq (Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration) emphasized over learning.
Dr. Shahnawaz Ahmed Malik (Teacher-in-charge, Student Induction Programme) told students to develop good company among themselves. You will get fragrance in garden and it will purify your mind and heart.
Ms. Neelam Faizan (Teacher-in-charge, Student Induction Programme) told that it’s a great initiative by the UGC for the students to get familiarity with the institution and to develop social and humanitarian feelings.
The second session of SIP was based on administrative training to the students.
Mr. Raziur Raheem (Assistant Proctor) spoke about the discipline and behavior of the students. He explained the rules and regulations of the Proctor Office.
Dr. Najmudheen T. (Assistant DSW) explained different types of scholarship schemes to students.
Mr. Mohammad Abu Shahid (Provost, Halls of Residence) addressed the students about the rules of the hostel. He stressed on importance of adjusting in various cultures.
Mr.Mohd Ahazam Khan (Assistant Registrar, AMUMC) addressed the students about the procedure and formalities of the administrative office.
Mr. Mohd Shakeel Ahmad (Assistant Professor, Department of Law) proposed the Vote of thanks and concluded the Induction Programme for the day.
