New Delhi: Praveen Swami the ‘veteran’ journalist ‘terror specialist’ and the ‘expert of Indian Mujahidin’ has joined The prestigious daily The Indian Express just within 24 hours of leaving The Hindu English daily. It is said that Swami quit The Hindu Saturday night and joined The Indian Express on Sunday as the paper’s lead story on Monday was with Swami’s byline –‘ Four men from Mumbai believed to have joined Iraq jihad, a father appeals for help’
“Delighted to have joined @IndianExpress—a paper that I’ve admired for decades (and gnashed my teeth at, when it’s fab reporters scooped me),” Swami tweeted on his twitter handle @praveenswami at 10:36 am on Monday.
Swami was Strategic Affairs Editor of The Hindu newspaper, and its Resident Editor in New Delhi.
He was also the Diplomatic Editor of The Daily Telegraph newspaper between September 2010 and October 2011.
Swami was the Associate Editor of The Hindu from 1993. He quit and joined the paper several times in last 20 years.
Swami wrote dozens of ‘ exclusive stories’ on most deadliest terror incidents on Indian history like Malegaon , Mecca Masjid and Ajmer bomb blast cases and held responsible Muslim for those blasts , but latter it was discovered that right wing Hindu terror groups were behind those bomb blasts.
