New Delhi : In a preposterous claim, the BJP chief for West Bengal, Dilip Ghosh has declared that the Indian breed of cows uphold extra-ordinary characteristics, as they contain ‘gold in their milk.

Ghosh claimed that unlike foreign breeds of cows, the milk produced by the ‘desi’ cows has a yellow tinge to it because of its ‘gold’ content.

“Desi cows have a hump on their back. Foreign breeds do not have humps and their backs are plain like that of a buffalo. The hump has ‘Swarna Nari’. When sunlight falls on the hump, it produces gold. That is why the milk of desi cow is yellowish or lightly golden. It contains gold. If one drinks only desi cow milk, it is enough for sustenance. There are many religious men who live by drinking cow milk and water from the Ganges,” Ghosh said.

He ironically validated his statement saying that the cow’s navel produces gold due to the sunshine. Moreover, Ghosh said that foreign breed don’t sound like “cows.” Further added that the cows from other countries are not “matas” but “aunties.”

On social media, people reacted with jokes and sarcastic tweets. While some claimed “another Nobel is on it’s way to Bengal”, others wondered aloud whether thieves should now loot “Mother Dairy booths instead of ATMs”.

Earlier this year, Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat claimed that the cow is the only animal which inhales and exhales oxygen, and claimed that breathing problems can be cured by massaging a cow.
