There are 4,400 Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons
Israeli forces rounded up 341 Palestinians, including 32 minors and two women, in September, according to Palestinian NGOs on Wednesday.
The largest number of arrests took place in the city of Jerusalem with 117 Palestinians detained, the Palestinian Prisoners Society, Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, the Commission of Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs, and the Wadi Hilweh Center in East Jerusalem said in a joint statement.
The NGOs said that 80 Palestinians were arrested in Hebron, 25 in Ramallah, and 15 in the Gaza Strip.
According to the report, there are 4,400 Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons, including 39 women, 155 children and around 350 held under Israel’s administrative detention policy, which allows holding Palestinians without charge.
