New Delhi: Although, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s much-touted ‘Mission 44+ failed in Jammu and Kashmir but he came under sharp attacked from Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) which has alleged that assembly polls in the state were rigged to better BJP’s position in the newly-elected assembly. Reacting over the poll results, JKNPP president Prof.Bhim Singh on Tuesday demanded that a high-level probe should be done into the manipulation of EVMs as most-of the hilly-seats recorded over 80 per cent polling.
In a petition sent to the Chief Election Commissioner, Prof Bhim Singh claimed that polling could not reach that mark in the hills and mountains where half of the population was away into the working areas in Punjab or elsewhere demanding that high power probe by an expert committee into the manipulation of votes where polling was recorded 80% or above.
The JKNNPK has constituted a team of five-Supreme Court lawyers to collect the facts and figures about rigging, manipulation of EVMs and its reprogramming by the BJP government at the Centre particularly in Jammu region in order to unearth the malpractices committed the ‘enemies’ of democracy. The Party particularly pointed out a finger on the so-called victory of Mr. Davinder Rana (NC) from Nagrota (Jammu) Assembly constituency only because his brother Dr. Jitendra Singh was a Member of the EVM manipulation team in the PMO.
JKNPP, which lost all its four seats in the present assembly, accused the BJP of wiping out from the floor of legislative assembly as the BJP fears that it is being not exposed of its corrupt, communal and opportunistic acts of omissions and commissions.
Prof. Bhim Singh said that the BJP was terribly scared of the JKNPP leadership both inside and outside the Assembly which has been exposing the corrupt, communal and opportunist leadership of the BJP in J&K Assembly.
“This was a most tragic incident in the history of J&K election that Prime Minister Modi succeeded in washing away most upright, secular and fearless opposition, JKNPP from the legislature of the state by manipulating the EVMs.”
He accused Prime Minister Modi of choosing only Jammu to re-programme EVMs. Had he chosen Kashmir also the game plan would have been exposed in public? The manipulators chose an ex-BJP man from Udhampur contesting as an independent and NC candidate from Nagrota to create an impression that the election was free and fair. He urged his party workers to get prepared to save democracy and fight for reorganization of the state with Jammu Pradesh as a state free from the serfdom of the Kashmiri rulers and exploitation of Central political parties. “Nothing shall deter us from carrying of mission, reorganization”. Bhim Singh declared.
He also accused Modi of murdering of democracy in Jammu Pradesh and declared that battle for the preservation of democracy in J&K shall start from the street to the Supreme Court.
