Srinagar :Abid Hussain, an MBA returnee from Indonesia , left home in Karimabad village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama to fetch milk for his 3-month-old daughter.
While family was awaiting for Abid, a terrible news reached home, leaving his Indonesian wife along with his mother in shock: “Abid has been killed.” Thousands of people of including women reached home to express condolence.
“Abid was hit by bullet and shifted to district hospital Pulwama where he was declare dead,” a family member said.
Abid considered as an intelligent fellow had returned home last year along with his wife to join his family also comprising mother, a retired government teacher, and his brother who is presently pursuing MBA degree in Bangalore.
“He was targeted. Its target killing,” Abid’s mother said. “He is our martyr,” she added. Abid’s wife could not speak as she was not in position and still in a state of shock.
Besides, Abid, six civilian were killed in government forces action following a gunfight that left three militants and an army soldier dead while two soldiers were injured in the gunfight.
Meanwhile, relatives of a woman, who was widowed, with her Kashmiri husband martyred in forces’ firing in Pulwama, Kashmir, staged a protest demonstration in Jakarta on Sunday, asking India to end bloodshed in Kashmir.
The protesters were holding placards, demanding an end to the killings of Kashmiris and also expressed solidarity with the widow Indonesian woman, Saima.
The woman’s husband, Abid Hussain Lone, an MBA pass out from a university in Indonesia, was killed in forces’ firing on civilians when he was outside his home. The Indonesian woman’s mother was among the protesters at Jarkata and she also called her daughter in Kashmir expressed condolences over Abid’s killing.
The protesters said that there should be an immediate end to the killings of innocent Kashmiris as same was against humanity.
Besides Abid, 10 other youth were killed during a cordon and search operation and firing on protesters by Indian troops in Pulwama district on Saturday.
