New Delhi, 26 Nov 2015 : It seems post Sachar era is bringing bad to worse for Muslims who already lagging behind Dalits in different walks of life specially in the field of education. The latest example could be seen in the result of Combined Defence Services Examinations which was declared on November 24. Out of 238 candidates who qualified to get admission in prestigious course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, only three Muslims were declared qualified to get admission by the Union Public Service Commission.
The three Muslim successful candidates are Altamash Siddiqui, Irshad Hussain and Saddam Khan.
The number of Muslim candidates decreasing regularly For instance, in June 2014, there were seven candidates among the 570 new recruits, in June 2013, there were as many as 11 who made it to the final list and in March 2011, there were seven from among the 351 successful candidates but year it’s the lowest only three out of 238.
In defiance services the numbers of successful Muslim candidates do not cross more the one percent while in civil services they remain below three percent.
