New Delhi: Soon after the violence in South Delhi during a protest against Citizenship Amendment Act, Delhi Police entered the campus of Jamia Millia Islamia on Sunday evening without permission of varsity authority , opened fire at students , brutally attacked them including girls.
Several students are reported to be critically injured in police firing inside the campus. The police fired tear gas shells and bullets at Jamia library were hundreds of students were present. They entered the library and thrashed students including female who were seen crying for help.
Police personnel didn’t spare even the mosque.Police entered the mosque beaten those who inside including the imam, said Maaz Akhtar .
‘Policemen dragged more than 15 injured students while beating them including girls, pushed them inside a bus and took them to Kalka Ji Police Station , said Amir Mujibi a Jamia Student.
Several injured students are trapped inside Nehru Guest House, he added.
‘Waseem Ahmed Khan, Chief Proctor, Jamia Millia Islamia University said that Police have entered the campus by force, no permission was given. Our staff and students are being beaten up and forced to leave the campus, reported ANI.

This police entered the campus soon after several vehicles were set on fire, including three buses, near Mata Mandir in upmarket New Friends Colony. There are different versions. While police claims it was the handiwork of protesters, people participating in protests.But witnesses said it were the policemen who poured inflammable liquid on the buses and then set them on fire to defame the protesters.
Manish Sisodia the deputy CM of Delhi has shared a video showing some policemen pouring liquid inside the buses before they were set on fire.
“There should be an impartial investigation as to what these men in uniformed are putting in the buses with yellow and white color cans before the buses were set on fire. And at whose behest was this done?” he said in a tweet.

Meanwhile students, Teachers and other citizens from all over the city have gathered at Delhi Police Headquarters, ITO, to raise their voices against the brutal attack by the police on the students and people of Jamia.
