Occupied Jerusalem , 5 Nov 2014 : Violent clashes were reported at the early morning hoursWednesday between Jerusalemite youths and Israeli forces as the later stormed al-Aqsa Mosque.
The clashes broke out following an Israeli decision to close the Mosque and restrict Muslims’ access into the holy shrine while allowing Israeli daily break-ins into it.
Local sources said that the youths stoned IOF soldiers who were stationed at the Mosque’s gates and prevented their access to the holy place.
Israeli restrictions on Muslims’ entry to al-Aqsa Mosque came to pave the way before the planned massive Israeli break-in into its squares today, the sources added.
Dozens of injuries were reported among the protesters during the clashes. One of the youths lost his eye after being hit with a rubber bullet.
In unprecedented and serious act, nearly 300 IOF soldiers defiled the grey-domed al-Aqsa Mosque and fired rubber bullets at the Muslim worshipers who responded by throwing stones.
The coalition of temple mount groups incited the Jewish settlers to march en masse to the Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday to mark one week after the assassination attempt of radical rabbi Yehuda Glick. ——Agencies
