New Delhi: All Dwarka Residents Federation (ADRF) has written to lieutenant governor Anil Baijal asking him to cancel the decision to construct a Haj House in the area.
The federation has given a laughable argument that there will be ”every possibility” of riots, migration of Hindus from the area and repetition of situations like Shaheen Bagh, Jaffrabad and Kashmir if the structure is allowed to be constructed. It added that the brotherhood, harmony as well as law and order may be disturbed due the construction of the Haj House.
@DCPDwarka @LtGovDelhi
While I have no interest in any Haj house being built here but how will it lead to riots ? ADRF is clearly spreading hatred against Muslims which is a criminal offence. Strongly condemn d highly communal content of this letter . Demand action against ADRF. pic.twitter.com/YTGGH028vE— Shabnam Hashmi (@ShabnamHashmi) August 4, 2021
Condemning the letter, activist Shabnam Hashmi said that the group is spreading hatred against Muslims, which is a criminal offence. ”While I have no interest in any Haj house being built here but how will it lead to riots? Strongly condemn the highly communal content of this letter . Demand action against ADRF,” she said in a tweet.
According to ADRF’s letter, land has been allotted and fund has also been released for the construction of the Haj House by the government of Delhi.
Well, the ram mandir is going to be built with people’s donations. Why should the Delhi govt fund a religion exclusive building ?? Oh, I get it now, secularism !!!
Firstly government is not doing any favour by releasing funds for the Haj House as it is Indian carriers that would stand to gain when flights get booked for ferrying the Hajis to Makkah and return too by the same airlines. The real problem is in the hatred and Islamophobia that is unnerving the central government of a pro-Hindu radical outfit. Moreover, you could have better taken an Indian sounding name rather than hiding your identity behind what seems like a French name.
Even at the ram mandir, indian hotels and Indian tourist agencies will benefit. That’s not the point. Why should the taxpayers money be used for one particular community at all ??
The revenue generated through Wakf properties in India will be sufficient to built such Haj house in all cities of India. Government is not doing any favour by building such Haj houses rather they should protect all Wakf properties and built more minority’s institutions using Wakf revenue for upliftment of minorities and economically weaker section. As for the protest, it is not surprising as it is the normal way of life for religious bigots rather what should be surprising is when there is no protest.
