New Delhi: The 6th Ayodhya Film Festival will be held from 19-21 December, 2012 at
Shaheed Ashfaq-Bismil Sabhagar in Faizabad district of Uttar Pradesh. The festival will highlight various issues including communal harmony, human rights, civil rights, peace and violence against women.
The significance of the festival has increased in the wake of recent communal clashes in Faizabad in the last week of October 2012. The twin cities of Ayodhya and Faizabad have been communally sensitive since the Ram Mandir movement that began in the eighties and culminated at the demolition of Babri Masjid on 6th December 1992 in Ayodhya.
The films to be screened at the festival can be in formats like documentary, short films or animation.
There is no Entry Fee for submission in Awam ka Cinema.
Note: Interested person should include a poster of the film, a synopsis of the film and a short bio of the director along one’s contact address. Films can be submitted by 2nd December, 2012 in CD/DVD at the following address:
