Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said that there were more charges against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya than Sections in the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
“There are some serious allegations against the chief minister…If someone files a petition, we will reconsider cases against them…,” Akhilesh Yadav said.
Akhilesh Yadav said if his party comes to power in Uttar Pradesh, it will double the number of police vehicles so that they could reach the crime spot as soon as possible.
Assembly elections are about to take place in Uttar Pradesh. Samajwadi Party has allied with Rashtriya Lok Dal and other parties to fight the electoral battle. The SP-led alliance is being considered the main challenger against ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
