Children’s Festival ‘Taare Zameen Par’ to be held in Goa from December 25

Panjim, Goa: Considering the ethical and progressive upbringing of children which lies with parents and educational institutions, a Goa Muslim NGO “Board of Innovative Education “(BIE) is organizing its fifth annual children’s festival “Taare Zameen Par (TZP) Children’s Festival 5.0” from 25th to 30th December 2022 at Anjuman Nurul Islam High School, Cujira, Bambolim Goa.

The first “Muslim Children Festival” was organized in 2016 at Verna Near Margao, which received an overwhelming response. Students and parents across Goa registered their presence and took part in activities. This encouraged the organizing body of BIE to hold the festival every year.

In charge of the festival, Feroz Khan told Muslim Mirror that they are expecting above 15 thousand children and parents visitors. He said that more than two thousand participants are expected in various competitions.

“Our three hundred volunteers are on the field and they’ve contacted all the minority institutions and Masjid committees of the entire Goa State,” Feroz said.

TZP 5.0 is an event conceptualized keeping in mind the social and cultural diversities of Goa. The event is aimed at providing an atmosphere to teach ethical orientation by identifying, encouraging, motivating, and promoting the skills and talents of the children.

Entry for the event will be free and open to all. Activities for children such as Educative Film Screening, Photo Gallery, Storytelling Corner, Islamic Artefacts, and Book Exhibition will be held during the event.

TZP will have interactive handmade models being designed, constructed, and curated by the children to depict beliefs, culture, and philosophy.

Six-day-long events will also have competitions for children participating in three age group categories, 6-8 years, 9-11 years, and 12-14 years.

Competitions include Azaan, Qirat, Naat-o-Nasheed, Islamic Quiz, Elocution, Storytelling, Mono Act, Skit, Word Master, Book Review, Fancy Dress, Drawing, Best Out of Waste, Poster Making, Story Illustration, Street Drama, Pick-and-Speak, Spelling Bee, Photography, Youtuber, Researcher, Blogger, Vlogger, Inventor, TV Reporter, Journalist, Anchor-person.

Professional counselors from across the country will conduct sessions for Teachers, Parents, and Children. Children will be able to get their IQs and EQs tested and get help in setting their behavior, academic, and career goals. Parents on the other hand will also benefit from the special sessions which will be organized on parenting in the present scenario and keeping an eye on the future world and the challenges anticipated.

TZP, apart from all the fun-filled activities is also hosting a grand food court with traditional Muslim cuisines, Arabic foods, Hyderabadi cuisine, biryani, and sweets. Cultural stalls of Islamic memorabilia and artifacts, hijab, abaya, scarves, Mehendi, and perfumes amongst others. Games & Play Area.

Panjim-based parent Nadia Aslam told Muslim Mirror that she will be attending the event.

“Yes, I will be attending this festival along with my children. Children’s festival is a most awaited event.”

“Competitive spirit encourages kids to learn and improve.”

“Important activities like calling of Azaan, Qiraat, and personality development activities and competitions like anchoring, journalism, and many more things children get to learn,” She added.
