National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is facing criticism for calling civil society a “frontier of war”

He said conventional wars had “ceased to become an effective instrument to achieve political or military objectives” since they are “too expensive, unaffordable and there is uncertainty about their outcome”.

“It’s civil society that can be subverted, suborned, divided and manipulated to hurt the interest of a nation. You are there to see this land is fully protected,” Doval said while speaking at an IPS passing-out parade at the National Police Academy, Hyderabad on Friday.

World Freedom Kashmir Movement president Muzzammil Ayyub Thakur said that these utterances are not accidental or off the cuff. They are pre-planned & purposefully said.

Activist Ravi Nair commented “That is what the RSS’ govt at the centre and its affiliates on the streets are doing in India.
