Finally the veil of secrecy looming over the marriage of Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi was unmasked and for the first time he accepted officially that he is a ‘ married’ man. On Wednesday, Narendra Modi, the prime ministerial candidate of BJP filed nomination papers for Vadodra Lok Sabha seat and declared himself as married man in the affidavit to Election Commission.
He acknowledged in the affidavits Jashodaben as his wife. Jashodaben is a retired school teacher in Rajosana village of Banas Kantha district in Gujarat.
Jashodaben, who still writes her full name as Jashodaben Narendrabhai Modi, 62, retired as a government school teacher and currently lives near Vadnagar, Modi’s hometown in Mehsana. In February last, she had told The Indian Express — in her first interview after Modi was declared BJP’s PM candidate — that she married him at the age of 17 and they lived together all of three months after which they parted ways amicably. Their marriage, however, was never annulled formally.
Before this disclosure, Modi never accepted that he was married and in election affidavits he would declare himself as single. In the last election affidavit he filed in 2012 Gujarat Assembly election for Maninagar assembly seat, he had declared that he had no spouse and left the column blank.
A LIAR CAN NOT BE TRUSTED.IT IS FOOLISHNESS OF BJP THAT THEY THINK TO CAPTURE POWER BY FOCUSSING MR MODI AS PM CANDIDATE.WE CAN HOPE THAT BJP SHIP MAY SINK AT ANY TIME UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF MR MODI
