Last year, both the countries had agreed to open their respective airspaces to each other, considerably easing the passage of travellers who were flying between Israel and the UAE.

The KSA has improved its relations with Israel but it has not officially announced normalisation of its ties with the Jewish state.
Three Arab states, United Arab Emirates, Morocco and Bahrain had signed normalisation agreement with Israel in September 2020.
