The RSS chief, on Wednesday, said the concept of “Hindu Rashtra” is being taken seriously.
“Now, when the Sangh is receiving the affection and confidence of people and also has become strong, the concept of Hindu Rashtra is being taken seriously,” he said.
“Many people agree with the concept, but are opposed to the word ‘Hindu’ and they prefer to use other words. We don’t have any issue with that. For the clarity of concept – we will keep emphasising the word Hindu for ourselves,” he said.
Bhagwat said that some people were spreading fear that minorities were in danger, but he insisted that this was not the character of the Sangh or of Hindus.
“The Sangh resolves to stand on the side of brotherhood, amity and peace, Bhagwat said at the RSS Dussehra rally in Nagpur.

Bhagwat appealed out to the Muslim community, saying that there had been false information published about his group and that they merely wanted to protect the nation from “terrorist forces.”
According to Bhagwat, his RSS has no desire to subjugate others.
“We just don’t want to be conquered and so we seek strength…But people scare, ‘arey Sangh wale marenge [RSS people will beat us up], the Hindu Sangathan will kick everyone out’. This misinformation has been spread. Because of this fear, some members of the minority community have been meeting us in the past few years. We are also meeting people from the community,” he said.
In what has been called the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s outreach to the Muslim community, Bhagwat met with the former Chief Election Commissioner SY Quraishi, the former Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Najeeb Jung, the retired Army officer Zameer Uddin Shah, the leader of the Rashtriya Lok Dal Shahid Siddiqui, and the businessman Saeed Shervani last month.
