Hindutva fanatics make vulgar remarks against Muslim women, notice issued by Delhi Commission for Women

A group of Hindutva fanatics sexualised Muslim women and made vulgar and obscene remarks agains them during a virtual meeting held on a social media platform called ‘Club House’. The conversation was titled “MUSLIM GALS ARE MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN HINDU GALS”.

The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has issued a notice to the Delhi Police seeking action against participants of the virtual conversation. The panel has directed the Delhi Police to provide a detailed action taken report and certain other details by 24 January 2022.

“Sulli bai, then Bulli bai and now indecent sexual remarks against Muslim girls on the Clubhouse app! How long will this last?,” wrote DCW chief Swati Maliwal on Twitter while sharing the notice sent to the police.

A video clip related to the aforementioned conversation has been shared on Twitter. The same has been condemned by various Muslim activists and minority rights defenders.
