Muslims visit church express solidarity with Christian community in Hyderabad .

Hyderabad: In a  goodwill gesture and expressing  solidarity with Christian community, in the wake of recent suicide bombings in Sri Lanka, members of Muslim community, members of Muslim community from different walks of life including students visited 165-year-old Saint Joseph’s church and Saint George’s Church and distribute flowers.

Muslims formed human chain around the churches in Hyderabad and greeted devotees with flowers and cakes.

Mirza Yawar Baig, Imam Mahmood Habeeb Masjid of Islamic Centre and MS Katherine B Hadda, US Consul General, addressed the congregation at Saint George’s church. The motto of the visit was ‘terrorists have no religion.’ “We all condemn their acts and promote universal brotherhood among all the citizens and we extend our sympathies with the families of those who were martyred in Sri Lanka and pray for them,” said the visitors.

On the occasion, the youth from Students Islamic Organisations (SIO) formed human chain around the churches in Hyderabad and greeted devotees with flowers and cakes.

Fatir Hassan, city president SIO Hyderabad, addressing the visitors and Media, condemned the deadly attack and said, “These attacks aim to instill fear and break us, but today we want to say it loud and clear that we are together and will always stand together in all the times sharing love and brotherhood.”

  1. Even I wanted to visit lady Fatimah church in Jasola, New Delhi but my inability because of my fractured foot. In Sha Allah after I am okay I will visit.

  2. Visiting churches and expressing solidarity after every terrorist attack is just a way to make non muslims fool. If you really want to struggle against Islamic terrorism then pickup gun & kill terrorists..
