New Delhi: 16-year-old Zoha Haider has topped the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) exam in Bihar with 99.6 per cent marks. Haider is a resident of Bhagalpur and studied at St. Joseph’s School in the city.
She obtained 100 per cent marks in Mathematics, Computer Applications and ‘History, Civics & Geography’. She scored 99 in English and Hindi as well. Her score in Science subject is 96.
”It’s a moment of great happiness…I would like to give credit for this success to my parents and teachers who supported me throughout my journey,” she told Muslim Mirror.
Zoha wants to become a medical doctor in future and has started preparation for entrance exams.
In her message to girl students, she said, ”focus on your studies and keep trying to achieve what you want. In sha Allah, you will get that one day.”
The ICSE board could not conduct examinations due to Covid-19 restrictions. It published results one week ago on the basis of students’ past performance.
The board has announced that students who are not satisfied with their results may give improvement exam. The last date to register themselves for the same has been extended from 1 August to 4 August 2021.
