New Delhi : The anti-CAA protests across the country have brought together opposition parties, students and intellectuals against the new citizenship law. The protests have also led to violence, with the protesters clashing with the police in several states.
In a statement many academician s from abroad have expressed their concern against the new Citizenship Amendment Law.
Academicians like Dr. Shahid Hussain, Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC, USA, Dr. Farahdiba Jafri, College of Charleston, SC, USA, Dr. Shama Ahmad, University of Alabama at Birmingham, AL, USA and Dr. Aftab Ahmad, University of Alabama at Birmingham, AL, USA figure in the list.
Here is the complete statement from the group: “As the Indian democracy stands on the verge of social, moral, and constitutional collapse, and as it slowlypaves the way for an ethnocracy, we, who identify ourselves as those of the Indian origin find ourselvesdeeply saddened. We view the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) as exclusionary, which violates thesecular principles enshrined in the Indian constitution, which clearly prohibits using faith as a condition ofcitizenship. Passing a discriminatory and unconstitutional-law is one thing, but curbing freedom ofpeaceful dissent and expression with brutal force is simply outrageous and has no place in a democracy.
We express our strongest condemnation for brutal crackdown on protesting students of Jamia MilIia Islamia (JMI) and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), by Delhi and Aligarh police force respectively, on December 15, 2019. An immediate inquiry and action is imperative. As today’s India stands torn between truth and deceit, hope and hate, civility and savagery, it is reassuring to see the bravery of unarmed students whose heroism is a testimony of Tagore’s vision of India “where the mind is without fear, and the head is held high”, and Gandhi’s call for “Satyagrah” for equality and justice. Let the message of freedom, justice, and equality spread from all academic gates of education and the love for humanity run through the streets of Jamia, Aligarh, Delhi, Banaras, Kerala and Chennai.”

Can these useless muslim academicians answer below questions:
1) if all muslim majority countries have made their constitution as Islamic, what is the right muslims have to talk about India’s secularism?
2) Indian muslims have changed the demographic character of this country by increasing population from 9% to 15%. If CAA is providing citizenship to few non muslims then why you people are so much protesting?
Please stop this non sense protest and accept CAA.
Are we teaching next Generation Hatereds, Violence Later many will turn Depressive!.!
