New Delhi, April 17: In order to build consensus among political parties for the passage of long-pending communal violence bill, Jamiat Ulama-I-Hind has decided to meet leaders of all political parties including Bharatiya Janata Party which is known for its anti-Muslim thoughts. The national executive of Jamiat took a decision in this regard here at the end of daylong meeting on Monday.
Jamiat will also consult legal experts to check legal impediments in the way of Muslim reservation.
“Disheartened with attitude of UPA led central government on issues of minorities, Jamiat Ulama-I- Hind (JUH) at its one-day national executive meet here at New Delhi has decided to hold meeting of legal experts and all stakeholders to bring out concrete solution for removing impediments to reservation for Muslims based on their socio-economic and educational ground. Heavily coming down on the centre for delaying introduction of anti-communal violence bill, the national executive has announced that in order to bring consensus on the issue, JUH delegation will soon meet leaders of all political parties including BJP,” said Azeemullah Qasmi, Media In-charge, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind.
The national executive of Jamiat also criticized UP government for not submitting Nimesh Commission inquiry report to Assembly and sought to know who will pay for detention of Maulana Tariq Qasmi and Khalid Mujahid for being forced to languish in jail on false charges of terror acts but have been found to be innocent by the Commission.
On issue of recently passed anti- rape law the executive committee has asked its team of legal experts to study it before reacting to any contentious part.
Jamiat also condemned the attack upon Muslims in Myanmar by some Buddhist communal elements and urged intervention of international community in the region to stop violence. Rubbishing Myanmar government’s initiative as mere deceptive, Jamiat demanded immediate hault to the assault upon Muslims.
The national executive was chaired by Maulana Usman Mansoorpuri, Jamiat president and attended by several members including Maulana Mahmood Madani general secretary, Maulana Hayatullah Qasmi, Maulana Mateenul Haq Usama, Qari Shaukat Ali, Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmad, Maulana Siddiqullah Chaudhri, Maulana Mohmaad Jabir, Niar Ahmad Farooqui, Shakeel Ahmad Syed etc.
