According to the protesters, by obtaining halal certificates, some organisations are making millions of crores of rupees, and the money is then being used for anti-national actions.
They urged the state government to establish an anti-Love Jihad team similar to the special police squad established in Uttar Pradesh.
Leading the demonstration were Annappa Divatagi, Manjunath Katkar, and other members of the Sri Rama Sene, as well as Vidula Haldipur, Sudha Awari, and other members of the Hindu Jana Jagruti Samiti.
They requested that the government make the necessary announcement during the Belagavi legislative session in a letter to the tehsildar.
