Karnataka: Hindu outfit calls for ban on halal certification

By Muslim Mirror

On Thursday, members of the Hindu Jana Jagruti Samiti and the Sri Rama Sene held a protest in Hubballi demanding a ban on halal certification. The group also called for establishing a special police squad to prevent cases of “Love Jihad”.

The protest was held in front of the Mini Vidhana Soudha.

According to the protesters, by obtaining halal certificates, some organisations are making millions of crores of rupees, and the money is then being used for anti-national actions.

They urged the state government to establish an anti-Love Jihad team similar to the special police squad established in Uttar Pradesh.

Leading the demonstration were Annappa Divatagi, Manjunath Katkar, and other members of the Sri Rama Sene, as well as Vidula Haldipur, Sudha Awari, and other members of the Hindu Jana Jagruti Samiti.

They requested that the government make the necessary announcement during the Belagavi legislative session in a letter to the tehsildar.
