Kashmir calls for #international inquiry into multiple violations” : The last tweet of Shujaat Bukhari

A Kashmiri mother crying for his son

New Delhi : Hours before he fell to the bullets of unidentified gunmen, Rising Kashmir editor Shujaat Bukhari had vigorously defended his work on Twitter when some Delhi-based journalists accused him of doing “biased” reportage on Kashmir, and had posted the UN report on human rights violations in the Valley.

One of his last tweets read, “First-ever @UNHumanRights report on #Kashmir calls for #international inquiry into multiple violations”.

Bukhari, who had a distinguishable tall frame and husky voice, said in another tweet, “In #Kashmir we have done Journalism with pride and will continue to highlight what happens on ground.”

  1. How many times will stand Kashmiris on Zanaja? What will they say? After saying about human rights then the bullet is very active. And saying for peace that would leave from Kashmir forever. This is kashmiriyat. At last, it said, as usual, the gunman was unidentified to remove all responsibility.
But that is very clear who dislike human rights and who has not wanted peace! Yet he will be called unknown gunman.
