New Delhi : Three years after they topped the prestigious civil services examination, Tina Dabi, 25, who stood first in the Indian Administrative Service exam (2015), and Athar ul Shafi Khan , 26, who came second, tied the knot at picturesque Pahalgam in south Kashmir this weekend.
The ceremony was attended by close relatives and friends. Both Dhabi and Athar are presently working in Rajasthan cadre, however they chose Kashmir as their wedding destination. A separate function was held at Athar’s home in his ancestral village at Mattan.
It is pertinent to mention that Athar hails from south Kashmir’s village of Devipora in Mattan whereas Dabi hails from Delhi.
Dabi hit the headlines three years ago when she took to social media to announce her love for Mr. Khan. The two are believed to have met at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy for Administration in Mussoorie.
Although very few details of the marriage have emerged but photographs of the couple in their wedding attires have become social media hits.
Various political and social figures have congratulated the couple on their marriage
Best of luck to the talented couple for a happy and content married life.
Surely- Best of Luck and Best Wishes. Ameen.
BBest wishes for their future happiness. I sincerely hope that he remained steadfast on DEEN after his amazing success and remembered the Quranic injunction that a Muslim is permitted to marry only a Muslim.
I shall advise prudence in bringing the issue of religion, Quran, conversion, Dalit, Muslim to maintain their privacy, personal preference, family security. My reading, if authentic, led me to conclude that the “legal marriage” took place in a court, supposedly a non-denominational place. This says something. Let us keep it that way. Give time. After 2019, 2022, and 2024 elections, if BJP is dethroned, things may change and they will announce what they want to be called and how their children will be addressed. Until then so long.
