Even when the most dreaded Coronavirus is posing a serious threat to the lives of people across the globe and proactive steps being taken worldwide to combat the disease, the Tablighi Jamaat has become the target for the powers-that-be to blame for the spread. Not surprisingly, the minorities usually are made scapegoat by the people in power on one pretext or the other.
Just because a few Thai and Indonesian nationals visited India on spiritual purpose, the state machinery has come to the conclusion that they were responsible for the spread of Coronavirus in Tamil Nadu, Telangana and in Delhi. Its quixotic to single out a particular community under the guise of congregation.
Both the intelligence agencies and the government at the centre are well aware of Nizamuddin Markaz Masjid which is well known for Tablighi work. Tamil Nadu government blaming Tablighi Jamaat for Coronavirus spread in the State is unacceptable. Foreign nationals couldn’t have brought it to India since they reached Delhi much earlier. Definitely, the stand taken by the government hurts the Muslim minorities here.
Moreover, this would send a wrong message about Muslims among brethren belonging to other community.
Whose is to be blamed for 1.65 lakh odd people affected by Coronavirus and 3400 odd people died in US? Who is responsible for this? US President Donald Trump had never pointed a finger against anybody. Instead, the nation is taking preventive measures by announcing lockdown for another 30 days.
Its a known fact that Nizamuddin Markaz Masjid or Banglewali Masjid located in Nizamuddin West in South Delhi is the global center for the Tablighi network and the origin of the Tablighi Jamaat. And this has been going on for years together with foreign nationals making a point to visit this mosque during their tour to India.
People across the globe are well aware of the fact about the biggest congregation at Shivrathri fest held at Jakki Vasudev’s Isha Yoga Centre at Siruvani located on the backdrops of the western ghats.
This event was held during February with leading luminaries including top honchos of corporate world, celebrities from Kollywood, Bollywood, Tollywood, Mollywood and even from Hollywood sitting in the open air auditorium facing the mega Sivan idol. Had this happened during Mahashivrathri fest, will the government blame the organizors?
Its Almighty’s will. He is the creator and He is the saviour for all mankind. Lets not play the blame game.

Insipte of the govt order of lockdown these people in the jamaat did not vacate. Knowing the orders and still not following it constitues crime. In this case crime against the people and country.
Hope the spread is controllable. All these should be jailed and this jamaat be banned
Zubair ji, How dare you mention those who took part at the congregation as illiterates. Just go thru’ the chronology of events. The congregation ended by March 10. Janta Curfew came much later and the 21 day lockdown six days ago. Moreover, the Ministry of Home Affairs were informed about this global meet. Why MHA showed no interest to prevent people from abroad entering India? Don’t show your grudge against a movement. The congregation has been going on right from 1920s and it has a long history. Having a name as Zubair which means ‘wise’ and ‘intelligent’, don’t behave like a lunatic. Constructive criticism is always welcome. But don’t present blunt views. You have called to stop ‘blame game’.Good.But you are blaming the Cente/Govt for their ‘failure’.How was the govt failure.Centre took prompt steps across India to stop spreading the virus through Janta carfew,lockdown etc.Yet in the name of religious works,tablighi arranged huge congregation incl foreigners.Its activities went on defying govt advisory.Even it openly called to defy all warnings/advisory etc to fail the govt.Instead of cooperation,they violated rules,hid the facts etc.Now you are trying to save them! Unfortunate.
Why you are hiding and giving a vague remark. Yes, the Centre could have clamped the curfew in January itself when the virus spread started in December 2019. Moreover, the Ministry of Home Affairs could have imposed a ban on the congregation citing the reason. And the organisors would have deferred it. Did’nt the PM hold a mammoth crowd of over 1 lakh at a stadium in Gujrat during Trump’s visit. How about Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore conducting the Maha Shivrathri wherein over 2 lakh people mostly from abroad took part. But Tablighi jamat congregation had just less than 5000. How come they could have violated the government’s diktat. None of the government machinery took any steps to stop the congregation or atleast inform them to close it. No one can save anybody. And criticising by hiding yourself and posting as ‘anonymous’ only proves to show your ‘cowardliness’.
