Kuala Lumpur: Recently, the Malaysian government has banned the controversial Bollywood film Padmavat, by stating the reason of negative depiction of Muslim Ruler Sultan Allauddin Khilji.
The movie surrounds the tale of 14th-century Muslim ruler Allauddin Khilji, the Rajput ruler Ratan Singh and his queen Padmavati.
The release of movie Padmavat has already faced a severe controversy in India. As the finch of Hindu Rajput groups alleged the portrayal of film draw a bad image of Rajputs, but at the end, the Supreme Court rejected their appeal to ban the film.
On Friday, Malaysia’s Ministry of Home Affairs banned the film and rejects the way Muslim Ruler portrayal.
According to the media reports, The Malaysian censorship board rejected the screening of film Padmavat as the Sultan Allauddin Khilji shown as the typical aggressive and psycho type ruler, who was so desperate to achieve the Rajput queen.
