MANUU introduces B.Tech, Ph. D. in computer science

manuu1Hyderabad, April 9: Maulana Azad National Urdu University, the only university offering courses at higher level through Urdu medium, has introduced three new regular courses i.e., B. Tech. (Computer Science), Ph.D. in Translation and Ph. D. in Computer Science.

MANUU, is a central University, established by an act of Parliament & accredited “A” Grade by NAAC. The campus based courses for which admission process has begun, include M. A. (Urdu, Persian, Arabic, English, Hindi, Public Administration, Women’s Studies, Translation Studies, Mass Communication & Journalism, Political Science), Master of Social Work, MBA, MCA, M.Com., M.Sc. (Mathematics), M. Ed., B. Ed., B. Tech. (Computer Science), D. Ed., Diploma in Unani Pharmacy, M. Phil. (Urdu, Arabic, Persian, English, Hindi, Public Administration, Women Education, Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy, Business Management & Translation Studies) and Ph. D. (Urdu, Persian, Arabic, Hindi, English, Translation, Women Studies, Public Administration, Education, Social Exclusion & Inclusive Policy Studies, Business Management, Computer Science), Polytechnic Programmes (Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronic & Communication Engineering, Information Technology), ITI Hyderabad (Draughtsman – Civil, Electronics Mechanic, Electrician, Refrigeration and Air – Conditioning and Plumbing), ITI Bangalore (Electronics Mechanic, R & AC and ITI Darbhanga (Electrician and Plumbing). P.G. Diploma (Functional Hindi & Translation, Functional Urdu), Diploma Programmes (Arabic, Arabic Translation, Tahseen-e-Ghazal, Persian) and Certificate Courses (Khush Khati, Tahseen–e–Ghazal, Arabic).

Tahseen-e-Ghazal or Appreciation of Ghazal certificate course is a very unique course, conceived & designed keeping in view the popularity of Urdu poetry among non-Urdu speakers. This course has been extended into a diploma programme on demand of Urdu lovers.

The University has also started Ph. D. Arabic. M. A. in Political Science, P.G. Diploma in Functional Hindi & Translation & a Certificate programme in Arabic from last year. All these programmes have received good response.

Admissions in M.Ed., B.Ed., D.Ed., B.Tech., MCJ, MBA, M.A. Translation Studies, all M. Phil, Ph.D. and Polytechnic courses will be on the basis of entrance examinations and in all other courses admissions will be on merit basis. Admission into MSW will base on Interview.

Last date for submission of filled in application forms for all PG/M.Phil. & Ph. D. Programmes at Hyderabad is 6th May, for Satellite Campus Lucknow 19th July 2013, for Ph.D. in Education, M.Ed., B.Ed., D.Ed. is 25th April 2013, Diploma, PG Diploma and Certificate courses 5th August, Polytechnic Hyderabad 2nd May and ITI Hyderabad, Bangalore and Darbhanga last date is as per concerned State Govt. or NCVT Notification.

The form and prospectus can be obtained from University Campus, Lucknow Campus CTE’s, Regional and Sub Regional Centres of the University on payment of Rs. 100/- through DD (by hand) or DD of Rs 150/- (by post). The Demand Draft should be drawn from any Nationalized Bank in favour of “Maulana Azad National Urdu University”payable at Hyderabad. Form and Prospectus can also be downloaded from the University website www.manuu.ac.in. The Demand Draft of Rs. 100/- is necessary with downloaded forms and the courses having entrance test, DD of Rs. 300/- should be enclosed. Reservation for SC/ST & OBC candidates will be as per the GOI norms and rules as amended from time to time. Hostel facility would be provided subject to availability.

The UGC provides fellowship of Rs. 8,000/- & Rs. 5,000/- per month to the students of Ph. D. and M. Phil. respectively as per UGC Norms. University Scholarship of Rs. 1000 P.M. is provided to the students of Master Degree programmes subject to availability of funds.
