New Delhi, 13 Apr: Calling upon the Muslim Ummah to close its ranks for foiling the nefarious designs of Zionist state, a conference on Masjid-e-Aqsa (Qibla Awaal) has asked the government of India to revert back its old policy towards Palestine issue. Addressing the Conference organized by the Markazi Jamiat Ulama Hind at the India Islamic Cultural Center, Minister Embassy of Palestine Saleh Fahed Mohammad has warned that the extremist Jewish are posing grave threats to the safety of Masjid-e-Aqsa as they have been hatching conspiracy after conspiracy to destroy this one of the three holiest mosques of Islam and they want to turn into a “Soloman Temple”( Wester Wall). He said the Israel is committing atrocities and excess on the hapless Palestinians since it illegally occupied their motherland. It is the duty of Muslim world and the peace-loving international community to raise the voice against Israel, he added.
In his presidential remarks, All India Muslim Majlis Mushawarat president and expert on Middle East Dr Zafarul Islam Khan warned that what happened with the Babri Masjid in India can happen with the Masjid-e-Aqsa (Qibla Awaal) as the illegal Zionist entity had been conspiring to erase slamic symbols from the land of Prophets. Coming down heavily on the Arab rulers and the OIC, he said both had failed to liberate Palestine from the yoke of usurper Israel. Contending Jewish claim that land belongs to Israel, he said the Jewish ruled the state mere 70 years during the period prophets Solemn and Daud while Muslim rule spanned over more than 1300 years uninterruptedly. He criticized the Indian government for shunning its old policy towards Israel saying that India has became largest importer of Israeli weapons. By organizing seminars, conferences and other means, we should inform the world that 200 million Muslims and other justice-loving people are with cause of Palestine, he said.
Noted scholar from Nadwatul Ulema Lucknow’s Maulana Slaman Nadvi has also dwelt upon the Western and Zionist conspiracies at length saying some Arab rulers and a section of population were also involved in it. He said there is a need of creating awareness about the Palestine problem among Muslims as well as in other sections of the society. He lambasted the rulers of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Syria and others for crushing the democratic movements in the region.
Recalling India’s policy towards Palestine, Mufti Ataur Rehman Qasmi said Gandhiji used to say that just like Japan is for Japanese Palestine is Palestinians .He asked the Indian government to sever diplomatic ties with the Zionist state. He also lamented that many Arab countries have established diplomatic contacts with Israel. Jamaat-e-Islami Hind secretary Ejaz Ahmad Aslam briefed the history and the conspiracies behind the creation of Israel. He said because of Western powers backing and Arab governments criminal silence, Israel is following expansionist polices in the region. He deplored that Arab government s are busy only in lip-service as Israel is committing excesses on hapless Palestinians. Ejaj Ahmad Aslam also pointed out by quoting right-thinking Jews that during Muslim rule in history Jews were always treated with respect and dignity while they had been persecuted undre Christians rule in every part of world.
In his welcome address, Jamiat secretary Maulana Feroz Akhtar Qasmi said the conference is meant to educate new generation about the Zionist occupation of Jerusalem and Palestine and the Western conspiracies of creating Jewish state in the heart of Islamic world. He pointed that Masjid –e- Aqsa has been mentioned in Qura’n and Ahadees and it is first Qibla of Muslims. Conducting the proceedings, Mufti Arshad Qasmi said it is the duty of all Muslims to come forward to protect this holy mosque.
The Conference was also addressed by Maulana Anisur Rehman Qasmi of Emrat-e-Sharia Bihar and Orissa, Maulana Juniad Ahmad Banarasi, Dr Syed Farooq, Dr Umer Gautam. Mufti Azizur Rehman, Prof Mohsin Usmani, Maulana Mohammad Yaqoob Bulandshehari and others.
During the conference Maulana Yusuf Rampuri’s book on ‘Masjid-e-Aqsa (Urdu) and a souvenir on Palestine were also released.
Passing several resolutions, the Conference asked the world community to support the cause of Palestine and use its influence in lifting the inhuman blocked of Ghaza strip. It also asked the Arab governments to extend all supports to resistance forces in the region which had been fighting for the liberation of Palestine and Masjid-e Aqsa. The Conference also vehemently demanded that those Arab governments which declared Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas as ‘terrorist organizations’ should review their decision at once..
Sir at one side you call BJP if it talk about temple communal, at the same time you are trying to push govt of India for a mosque which is in palestine. Isn’t it double talk? If you feel that is your holiest mosque , shouldn’t hindus have right to build a grand temple on their holiest places.
