Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani is the new acting general secretary of Muslim Board

New Delhi:  President of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) Maulana Rabey Hasni Nadvi on Tuesday appointed Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani as the acting General Secretary of the Personal Law Board following the demise of Amir Shariat Maulana Syed Muhammad Wali Rahmani.

Maulana Saifullah Rahmani is the current secretary of the Personal Law Board who will discharge duties till the permanent arrangement is made. Expressing his grief on the demise of Maulana Wali Rahmani, Maulana Rabey Nadvi said there is an urgent need to appoint an acting General Secretary in accordance with the requirements of the work of the Board. He said election of new general secretary will be held in coming months till then Maulana Khalid will look after the Board’s affairs.

Maulana Khalid Rahmani (born November 1956 at Jala, Darbhanga, and Bihar) is the General Secretary of Islami Fiqh Academy, India and founder member of Board. He is an eminent Islamic scholar with expertise in Islamic jurisprudence. With his deeper understanding of the Quran, Sunnah, Shariah and knowledge disciplines, Maulana guides the Muslim community on modern problems. He has inherited rich scholarly traditions from his family of reputed scholars, specifically his father Moulana Zainul Abidain and grandfather Moulana Abdul Ahad Jalavi. Due to his versatile and dynamic approach, Moulana is well known in media. He regularly delivers lectures and sermons in Hyderabad on current topics to guide the community.
