Mumbai:  Muslim youths who were arrested in connection to the 7/11 Mumbai train blasts case, were forced to give confessional statements. Defense lawyer Abdul Wahab Khan told the special MCOCA court here on Friday that all confessional statements done by the seven deputy commissioners have committed similar  mistake while  filing the  confessional statements.

“The confessional statements sent to seven deputy commissioners in this regard have similar mistakes”. He further pointed out that the cops who registered the confessional statements on the given date were, in fact, employed on security duty on Prime Minister’s visit to Mumbai. How it is possible that the cops who are on security duty of the Prime Minister are noting down statements of the accused at the same time he asked.

During the cross-examination, the defense lawyer said the dates mentioned in the confessional statements were utterly false as he produced the details of police personnel’s duties acquired through RTI. He argued that all his clients were falsely implicated in the case by the ATS.
