Hyderabad : The AIMPLB, the apex body of the Indian Muslims, on Sunday declared that Muslims will not give up Babri Masjid and that struggle for its reconstruction will continue.

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) reiterated its stand in ‘Hyderabad Declaration’ passed on the third and final day of its 26th plenary here.

“Babri Masjid is an essential part of faith in Islam and Muslims can never abdicate the Masjid nor they can exchange land for Masjid or gift the Masjid land. Babri Masjid is a Masjid and it shall remain a Masjid till eternity,” said a statement released by the board.

This assumed significance as an executive member of the board, Maulana Salman Hussaini Nadvi had mooted a formula after meeting Hindu leader Sri Sri Ravishankar on Friday that the land on which Babri Masjid stood till December 6, 1992, be given for building Ram temple. He suggested that an alternate land be allocated for construction of a mosque and an Islamic university.

Facing flak from board members for his controversial formula against the board’s stand, Nadvi did not attend the plenary on the second day Saturday and announced his “disassociation” from the board. The board on Sunday accepted his “disassociation” and announced that he is no longer a member.

“By demolishing Babri Masjid, it never loses its identity as a masjid. And according to Shariah, it always remains a Masjid,” said the statement read out by the board’s executive member Kalam Faruqui at a news conference.

“Without any doubt, we make it clear that the struggle for the reconstruction of Babri Masjid continues and the appeal in Supreme Court is being fought rigorously with all the resources available at the disposal of the Board. The country’s topmost lawyers are appearing on behalf of the Muslims and we believe that the Almighty Allah will make us successful in the Supreme Court,” it added.

  1. Exactly…..a Shoura committee of a large number of experienced and sincere Islamic Scholars like AIMPLB carries tremendous weight with common Muslim Indian citizens—rather than a single or two scholars who are easily misled by Shaytaan due to greed of publicity (riyaakari) and monetary gain in crores.

The court has to provide justice to the Muslim Indians in a case with live video footage of bringing down a historical monument of Babri musjid which is owned by Indian Muslims as a whole(waqf).

The court cannot base unfair judgement on mythological fables and fabricated stories.

Maybe the Muslims will after a fair verdict..– use this musjid land to build and run an Islamic-value ” Muslim Charitable Trust Hospital ” for downtrodden citizens of All communities—- Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian—-to be run by AIMPLB members with donation from Zakaat from all over India or from selling other vacant waqf properties…. a great symbol for love and true message of Islam of humanitarian peace and harmony.

  2. On the one we all Muslims support the stand of AIMPB and other hand expose the people whether right handed politicians or their tools who exploit and misguide Hindus for their vested interest neither for the country its peace loving people.

    • Why are Muslims in india aftet 1947?. India should have been a Muslim Free Country after 1947. What went wrong?

Present India has its birth out of 2 nation theory forwarded by Muslim where Muslims said they could not live with Hindus. India has already created 2 countries for Muslims..Pakistan and Bangladesh. Now Muslims want third country called Kashmir.
After that Muslims will start pelting stones in Delhi, Hydrabad, Aligarh etc .Should India be creating a country where Muslims live in India.

If referendum is held today in India on whether to keep Muslims in India or send them to Pakistan, it will pass overwhelmingly to send ALL Muslims to Pakistan.

India should discuss arrangements with Pakistan for reparations of Muslims living in India to Pakistan.
