By M M Special Correspondent,

New Delhi: Noted rights organization, the NCHRO has been invited for the first edition of the World Tolerance Summit to be held in Dubai on the occasion of ‘International Day for Tolerance’. The summit, organized by the International Institute of Tolerance, is a unique platform for global leaders and community experts to address challenges and opportunities associated with creating and ensuring peaceful prosperity in societies with diverse populations like India.

NCHRO Chairperson, Prof A Marx will travel to Dubai to attend the Summit scheduled on November 15-16, 2018, in conjunction with the International Day for Tolerance.

The conference’s theme is “Prospering from Pluralism: Embracing Diversity Through Innovation and Collaboration” which will explore how diverse communities can be safe, secure, peaceful, resilient and prosperous through better governance and cooperative stakeholder engagement, and by making better use of technology, social innovations, and international networking.

This 2-day interactive summit will engage international thought leaders, decision-makers, and influencers in thought-provoking discussions on how tolerance brings about real positive change in people’s life.

The summit featuring various sessions, workshops will contribute to the development and strengthening of the field of human rights professionals.

NCHRO, which has been working to protect the rights of common man, believes human rights must be made a fact, not an idealistic dream, in civil rights work we have to get people to understand, respect the dignity of the individual and requires sustained and consistent effort, to build inclusive and respectful society.

Prof Marx will present NCHRO’s views about peaceful coexistence in pluralistic and diverse society. The invite to NCHRO for the summit assumes significance as the Indian society has been witnessing rights violations and persecution of minorities and weaker section since the BJP-led government came to power in the country. It also reflects that NCHRO is getting recognition on international level for its works.
