New Delhi: The National Confederation of Human Rights Organisations (NCHRO) conducted the One-day Human Rights Workshop in the national capital here on Sunday.

Ajitha from Women Against Sexual Exploitation and State Repression (WSS) inaugurated the workshop.

NCHRO National Secretary Adv. A. Mohamed Yusuff presided over the programme.

Delhi Chapter General Secretary Adv. Ansar Indori welcomed the gathering and moderated the workshop.

Lectures on the different topic were delivered by the experts and activists.

Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and International Covenants were explained by Fawaz Shaheen from Quill Foundation.

Anil Parashar, Former Joint Registrar of National Human Rights Commisson (NHRC) and Focal Point for Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) delivered the lecture on Human Rights (Protection) Act, 1993 and Human Rights Commitions in India while Constitution of India and Legal Defense was discussed  by Adv. A. Mohamed Yusuff.

Avinash, Journalist and Adv. Ansar Indori took the class about the Fact Finding Modalities. A group discussion among the participants was also conducted about the Fact Finding.

The concluding remarks were given by E.M. Abdul Rahiman, National Executive Council member of Popular Front of India.

Adv. Amit Srivastav, Delhi Chapter President of NCHRO delivered vote of thanks.

The committee members and the activists from Uttar Pradesh (East), Uttar Pradesh (West), Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi attended the workshop.
