A man identified as Mohd Shamim Ansari aka Bhola Netaji, who had collected donations for the construction of Ram Temple and has been close to leaders of the BJP, have been fielded by All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) from Uttar Pradesh’s Phephana constituency for the upcoming assembly election.
He had congratulated and praised Narendra Modi over his victory in 2019 general elections. In a video clip shared on social media, he had said, “Modi has emerged as a big leader of youths and poor people. He is welcome.”

He had shared his photographs on social media, in which he can be seen collecting donations for Ram Temple along with leaders of the BJP and other Hindu nationalists.
The AIMIM is under fire for giving a ticket to him. The party’s decision has been decried by various activists and social media influencers.
