New Delhi: Israeli police released Palestinian activist Muna el-Kurd and her brother twin Muhammad Al-Kurd hours after their detention on Sunday.
Husam Zomlot, head of Palestinian Mission to the UK, said that ”inspiring Sheikh Jarrah activist” Muna Al Kurd has just been released.
He further retweeted a post by another Palestinian activist Abier Khatib, which said Mohammad is about to be released on bail as his father is on the way to the police station.
“They shut down Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood for three weeks. Why? Because our voices reached the world,” she said after she was released.
Al Jazeera journalist Givara Budeiri was also released hours after her detention by Israeli police.
