Jammu: Prof. Bhim Singh, the President of J&K National Panthers Party has demanded a judicial inquiry by the sitting Supreme Court Judge about the killings of innocent civilians in Hyderpora bypass on Monday, November 15, 2021 in so-called cross-firing. He said that the entire “mischief” of the Govt. in J&K is obvious as the police took the slain civilians about 100 kms away to be buried in Handwara, District of Kupwara. Why was that necessary?

The Government owes an explanation to the people of J&K in particular and to the nation as a whole about the killings of the civilians and the method of their burial nearly 100 kms away, he asked.

The deeply hurt and angry people of J&K and every citizen of India is looking for an answer. This has been the only voice of today.

It has resulted in clamping the curfew and shut down half of Kashmir Valley i.e. Districts of Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal. “The people of J&K and all of the opposition parties have raised their voice against this “slaughter” of innocent Indian citizens. What has been happening in J&K, mostly in the Valley, is being faced by the people of the State of J&K time and again,” Prof Bhim Singh said.

“JKNPP Working Committee strongly appealed to all opposition parties in J&K to join hands and fight this kind of brutal rule, which innocent people of J&K and particularly in the Valley of Kashmir have been facing for years without being given a chance to their own representatives”. He slammed that J&K has lost its Statehood, its Assembly is dissolved for years and courts, other government offices remain closed for different reasons including Covid-19 pandemic.

The wrath of people of the Valley who were victims of the atrocities resulting in death, forced the state Lt. Governor to change track. As a result of the protest by the people the government was forced to exhume the bodies of Altaf Bhat, r/o Barzulle and Dr. Mudasir Gul, r/o Rawalpora and handed over the dead bodies to the families who were able to put their innocent loved ones to rest in peace.

India is a democracy but the way it is governed today is leaving the most dictatorial rulers of anytime behind, creating fear, insecurity and confusion in the minds of the people, particularly in J&K, which has been an integral part of India and now Fundamental Rights are applicable to the people of J&K also since August 5, 2019. This attempt of the rulers can destroy the country if action is not taken to stop it.

Prof.Bhim Singh appealed and demanded that the Supreme Court of India shall take suo moto notice of this dictatorial effort by the rulers and save the country from disaster. J&K is an integral part of India and should be treated so by the government of the day. Peace and security shall be restored when Statehood returns and the entire Constitution of India with all Fundamental Rights is made applicable to all the Indian citizens in J&K.

JKNPP Working Committee led by its President Prof.Bhim Singh demands that an inquiry by a sitting judge of the Supreme Court be conducted. It said due compensation should be given to all those who were killed in similar circumstances without authority of law or in violation of Article 21 of the Constitution of India.

The Panthers Party urged the President of India, Ramnath Kovind to hold another inquiry to find out how many innocent people in J&K have been” slaughtered/killed by the State under similar circumstances since August 5, 2019 when the Constitution of India was made applicable in J&K also.
