Phagwara : It seems that a new equation between minorities is taking place in the country under the shadow of fear since BJP came to power at center.
It was witnessed when members of Sikh community came out with open swords to support Muslims against the attack by the activists of Shiv Sena in Phagwara, Punjab on Friday.
The problem started on Wednesday when Sena activists allegedly used force to shut shops of a few Muslim families during a protest against disruption in the Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir .
According to an HT report ‘after Friday prayers, a delegation from the Muslim community was to submit a memorandum to the administration, seeking action against the Shiv Sena activists for harassing Muslim traders.
The tension escalated when the prayers were going on, Sena activists reached outside the mosque and started raising anti-Pakistan and ‘Bharat Mata ki jai’ slogans. They reportedly also dared the people inside the mosque to face them.
People in the mosque came out and both sides exchanged heated words and soon stone pelting ensued at Gaushala road, which left six people injured including two cops.
Sensing the gravity of the situation a group of Sikh community turned up to lend support to the Muslim side. The Sikh youths were carrying sharp-edged weapons and they also hurled stones at Sena activists.
The cops made no effort to stop the Sena activists from reaching outside the mosque. It was only after the two sides exchanged stones for 25 minutes
Later on the police detained some people from both sides.

Some hindu community members in aligarh reported that the saree of a hindu woman was pulled by the muslim youths with an intent to rape due which there was fear in the community and they have put up sale of their houses and shops with a slogan ‘we are not safe but our houses are’. all the wrongdoings should be reported in a balanced manner. we want nationalists not bigots and anti nationals in this age of ISIS.
I’m living in Phagwara and I know the facts said above in news are 100% right, these Shiv Sena people are basterds and taking bribe from people who looking for shelter, there were few Hindu members who were standing along with us on this incident. Every Muslim is innocent neither they pulled any saree not they took first step against their cruelty. Although, they have written “Muslim Kuttey Murdabaad, Pakistan Murdabaad” I can prove with pictures, go and search ASF Phagwara on FB, it will show you all about the incident. Sorry for any mistake.

For your information, the founder of sikhism, Guru Nanak Devji was the disciple of Baba Sheikh Farid from whom he learnt and founded sikhism against tyranny of Hindu Brahmins (my forefathers were also hindu brahmins :)). Islam has a very deep impact on sikhism, Gurugranth Sahib proves it. And the fight was not for religion, it was to grab the land.

Hendus are in majority but minorites like parsis, jains, buddists and even sikhs in all other states have no problems, it is only musleems who have problems. In Hendu majority India musleems are thriving and number around 20 crore and their % has increased from 1947, compare that to Pak and Bangladesh where minorities disappeared in musleem majority . In our own country, minority hendus are massacred and kicked out from Kashmir by musleem majority.
Sikhs have forgotten nothing neither attack on its holiest temple golden temple and neither fake encounters by police during eighties.
