Bilariya Ganj (Azamgarh) : The whole country is fighting collectively against the enemies of Islam, who have in their hearts, intentions of amending Muslim Personal Law and assaulting Shariah laws. Advancing a step ahead, the world-renowned madrasa “Jamiat ul Falah” has planned to organize a two day seminar on Islamic family laws, so that the common Indians may be acquainted with beneficence and auspiciousness of Muslim Personal Law. This seminar will be attended by Maulana Sayyed Jalaluddin Ansar Umri, deputy secretary of All India Muslim Personal law Board and on the other hand, Mohammad Jafar of working committee is also invited. The program will also be addressed by Director of Shibli Academy, Prof. Ishteyaque Ahmad Zilli and Vice president of Jamat-e-Islami Maulana Mohammad Nusrat.
It is interesting to note that, for the first time, Muslim women are attending this seminar in large numbers, and as speakers, they will enlighten the women of Muslim community with blessings of Islamic family laws. The important issues to be discussed in the seminar are- “rights of women and Islam”, “Protection of Islamic family laws and responsibilities of women”, “Instructions and legalities of separation and divorce”, “how to resolve family conflicts?- Darul Qaza or Court”, “polygamy” etc. The director of madrasa Maulana Mohammed Tahir Madani says-“the fact that family laws in Islam ensure mercy and peace, will be accepted by common people only when it will be exemplified by our homes.” “today our homes have become disturbed because of our detachment from the teachings of Islam. Family quarrels have become common. Family courts are full of veiled women. The irrelevant traditions in marriage ceremony have made Nikah difficult whereas rights of wives have been neglected. Old mother and father are left unprovided for. Proper upbringing of child is being neglected. Women have been deprived of patrimony. Men are misusing their authority. Many a women have been left in between. Alimony is not being given properly. Provisions of divorce are being misused. In fact on every step, we are disrespecting Islamic family laws. How would our homes become an abode of piece under these circumstances?” he added.
Maulana says-“It is the need of hour that we strictly follow the Islamic family law and do not hesitate in giving the rights of others and keep the guidelines of Quran in our mind – the known authority, in our mind.
…People should set examples of good social behavior with women. Only then will our families become ideal and we will be role models for others. No one will then be able to point fingers. The purpose of two day seminar at Jamiat Ul Falah is to bring out the merits of Islamic family laws and to generate a spirit of its sincere practice. The importance of this seminar has increased further amidst the contemporary circumstances in country.”
