U.S. dropped 23,144 bombs on Muslim World in 2015

Washington DC: According to Council of Foreign Relations resident skeptic Micah Zenko, since Jan. 1, 2015, the U.S. has dropped around 23,144 bombs on Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, and Somalia, all countries that are majority Muslim.

The figure puts in stark terms how much destruction the U.S., headed by Noble peace prize winner President Obama, has leveled on other countries.

Whether or not one thinks such bombing is justified, it’s a blunt illustration of how much damage the United States inflicts on the Muslim world.

Out of the total 23,144 bombs dropped on Muslim world, Iraq and Syria got the share of 22,110 bombs followed by Afghanistan whose share is 947, the US think tank revealed.

It may be noted that despite the fact that the US dropped 947 bombs in Afghanistan in 2015, report suggest that Taliban control more territory in Afghanistan than at any point since 2001.

Several promises of withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan by Obama administration have been made but in October last year President Obama reversed his position and decided to keep its troops till 2017.

The military campaign against the Muslim countries has left scores of death in its trail. In October, 30 civilians died after the U.S.bombed a hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan.

The last four U.S. presidents have bombed Iraq in search of WMD and hardly any traces of WMD have been found and today the country is in ruins.
