Agency spreading lies about raid: AAP

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday vehemently denounced the arrest of party MLA Amanatullah Khan and said it is a bigger conspiracy against the AAP.
Showing a video of raid, APP also claimed that the Anti- Corruption Bureau found nothing at Amanatullah Khan’s both the house and it is spreading lies in the media fake news in the media that they’ve found cash and arms at the MLA’s house.
Addressing a press conference at the party office, AAP Chief Spokesperson and MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj alleged that the witch hunt was being conducted against the party and its leaders on behalf of the BJP.
“The Aam Aadmi Party strongly condemned the BJP-sponsored witch hunt being run against the party and its leaders, ” he said.
“ACB found nothing at MLA Amanatullah Khan’s house; lies being spread to malign AAP. Video evidence has proven that ACB officers left Amanatullah Khan’s house clearly stating they haven’t found anything there. ACB raided both the houses of Amanatullah Khan, no cash, arms, gold or benami property was found there. ACB planted fake news in the media that they’ve found cash and arms at the MLA’s house,” the spokesman said.
An organised campaign is being run to slander AAP; earlier they fraudulently associated Minister Satyendar Jain’s photo with gold and cash found at a jeweller’s house and in their desperation of framing Dy CM Manish Sisodia, CBI has raided 100 sites till date, he added.
He also alleged that investigative agencies were being coerced by BJP’s Government for political gains.”
“For the past few months, the Central Government and BJP has been strategically misusing the investigation agencies to create a castle of lies and propaganda. They conducted raids on Satyendra Jain and several other people”.
“Now, a new allegation has been made against our MLA Amanatullah Khan. I have read the documents in their entirety. His addresses are two. The A9, Khajuri Road, is one of them. The apartment is in Jogabai Extension and is on the first floor. What did the raid turn up nothing once more. They also didn’t discover any cash or legal firearms or ammunition, Bhardwaj said.
They could not discover anything at his second address, which is 792, Gali No. 7, Zakir Khan, Madina Apartment. Nothing that is prohibited to possess was discovered, he added .
He accused the BJP government of deceiving the public by claiming that many goods have been found in his dwellings since yesterday.
“I questioned them and inquired as to whether they had actually removed a weapon or money from Amanatullah Khan’s home. When I spoke with the ACB, they informed me that they had filed two separate FIRs against two individuals. Under the same statute, a FIR has been filed against a person by the name of Hamid Imam Siddique and a person by the name of Hamid Ali Khan”, he said.
Is it even legal to link the recovery of weapons from one person’s home to another under criminal law? How can a person be a business partner in a company if they are not actively engaged in any businesses? He asked.
“Amanatullah Khan does not have any businesses and yet the alleged offenders are being labelled as his business partners. And going beyond the current accusations, if guns are recovered from the house of a business partner, can his criminal act be associated with other business partners? Between a husband and wife, if a husband has committed a crime, his wife cannot be dragged into his crime. And you are trying to establish a nexus here out of nowhere.”
He asserted, “There is only helplessness and desperation. They have mentioned about a raid conducted by the ACB but it is an old matter. FIR in that matter was registered in January 2020 and it is 2 years and 9 months old. ACB called him for inquiry in an old matter and conducted raids at several locations simultaneously. They also conducted a raid at Amanatullah Khan’s residence and you planted news through ACB that Arms were found in possession of ‘Amanatullah Khan and Associates.’ After 2-3 days, you will manipulate the news and say that Arms were found at i Amanatullah Khan’s residence. Investigating agencies are playing on behalf of BJP. They exist to run BJP’s trolls. ACB is trying to malign AAP with bundles of cash and guns.
He added, “CBI-ED also does identical work for BJP. CBI-ED themselves have become so helpless and desperate that they. It was only the presence of mind of Amanatullah Khan’s wife who in his absence recorded a video when the ACB officials came to raid his house. It can be heard in the video that ACB officials are being asked if they are satisfied with the investigation at the residence of Amanatullah Khan to which they said yes.”
“You can see that ACB left Amanatullah Khan’s house empty-handed as well. We would not have been able to put an end to rumours regarding what was found at his home if this video did not exist.”
One FIR was filed against Hamid Ali Khan who has nothing to do with Amanatullah Khan. They are not associated by any means. Second FIR was filed against Kausar Imam Siddique and the Third FIR has been filed for obstruction of ACB staff.
“You can clearly see in the video that ACB officials are thanking the family of Amanatullah Khan for their cooperation in the raid. After the raid, they were politely asked by the family if they found anything. ACB said they did not find anything and they are thankful for their cooperation.”
