A candle light march against the killing of innocent Adivasi people in Assam.

By MM Special  Correspondent,

New Delhi: Vice President M. Hamid Ansari has strongly condemned the heinous killing of innocent civilians in Assam as the violence unleashed by anti-talk NDFB(S) militants in the state spread  on Wednesday to new areas with one person injured in Udalguri district where rebels fired at villagers and burnt houses.
Hamid Ansari on Wednesday has called for firm and urgent action against the culprits and also for an immediate end to this senseless violence. Expressing grief over the loss of precious lives, he conveyed his deep condolences to the members of the bereaved families.

Altogether, 72 people have been killed in the state since Tuesday as four attacks in two districts claimed the lives of 62 people, among whom were 18 children and 21 women.

Bodos are a microscopic minority in the so- called Bodoland areas but they want to become Majority by resorting violent ethnic cleansing since 1989. Bodo militant groups including NDFB (R), NDFB (P), NDFB (S), Ex-BLT and many other under-ground groups are active in the area because of indulgent attitude of the state as well as central governments.

Meanwhile, non-Bodo groups have staged a protest by lighting candles in the National Capital on Wednesday evening to highlight  grim situation in violent-struck Assam.

  1. Bodo groups supposed to be in mainstream after 2003 btc referendum. What happened?
Anyway, btc referendum was unjustified for the rest Assamese people. This was worse than article 370 in Kashmir.

NEW DELHI FEB. 10. The Centre and the Bodo Liberation Tigers (BLT) have reached an agreement to settle the over a decade-old Bodoland issue. A tripartite Memorandum of Settlement (MoS), signed by the Additional Secretary (Border Management) in the Union Home Ministry, R.C.A. Jain, the Assam Chief Secretary, P.K. Dutta, and the BLT chairman, Hagrama Basumatary, envisages the creation of Bodoland as an autonomous self-governing unit within Assam. Also present at the signing of the settlement were the Deputy Prime Minister, L.K. Advani, and the Assam Chief Minister, Tarun Gogoi.

  2. Pravin Togadia of VHP said openly in public meeting over ASSAM issue, is there any link between RSS and Assam Killing and why the government and authorities have not taking any action on Pravin Togadia ?

  3. If I dare to learn from the past history of WW2, why Hitler lost, and committed “suicide”, because he underestimated capabilities, smartness of his enemies because of his “arrogance” in overestimating his manpower and their acumen. Under this deceit, he opened, war on both the eastern and western fronts, viz., communists of the Soviet Union, and the colonizers, especially Churchill’s Britain, of Western Europe. BJP/RSS have concluded that they possess enough support not only to intimidate Kashmiris (poor, hungry Muslims) but also the fiercely fighting Nagas, mostly missionaries supported Christians. Let them feel the depth of “mess”, modify the strategy, or, more likely, suffer more “disgrace”.
