What if Muslim youths demand a Muslim Rashtra: Maulana Tauqeer Raza

The national president of Ittehad-e-Millat Council, Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan, stated that if the rhetoric of those seeking ‘Hindu Rahstra’ is acceptable, then so is the call for Khalistan or a separate Muslim country.

“What if our Muslim youths demand a separate Muslim state tomorrow?” he said.

He further said, “We do not want to consent to another division of our nation.”

His remarks follow those of Sikh preacher Amritpal Singh, who compared “Hindu Rashtra” with “Khalistan” in his sermon.

The national president of Ittehad-e-Millat Council argued that the government should take action by initiating sedition cases against individuals who call for Khalistan.

Likewise, those who advocate for “Hindu Rashtra” should be punished. Otherwise, he argued, “since no action is being taken on the demand for the former, it will be assumed that asking for Khalistan is similarly valid.”

Raza made the remark while claiming that Muslim girls had been lured by Hindu organisations under the garb of Ghar Wapsi.

He cited a survey when he claimed that 10 lakh Muslim girls had been coerced into becoming Hindus.

“Where did the bombs that detonated prior to 2014 go? Where are those explosives now if Muslims are terrorists? They should use bombs right now since they are suffering the most. Yet neither back then nor now, Muslims have never been terrorists. In actuality, officials in the government have done all of these things to frighten Hindus away from Islam. According to Yogi Adityanath, there hasn’t been a riot in his administration. Yeah, but the real cause is that you only committed all of these, “added Maulana Tauqeer Raza.

In his interactions with the media in Moradabad and Rampur, he also questioned why the bulldozers in Uttar Pradesh are just targeting Muslims.
