The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is intending to amend the Citizenship Act 1955 and the proposed amendments have already caused huge protest in the North East. The amendments will grant citizenship to undocumented Hindu migrants from Bangladesh residing into the State. These amendments will also help Hindus, Christians, Jains, Sikhs, Buddhists migrating from outside to get Indian citizenship on religious basis. In speech after speech the Union Home Minister and other Sangh Pariwar leaders like Mohan Bhagwat are insisting that no Hindus will ever be deported from the country while they are planning to extend the National Register of Citizens across the country. A few months back Amit Shah in a speech said that no Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Jains will have to fear about their citizenship and they won’t be forced to deport the country.
So, if like me, you were brought up on the values of Indian consideration, you were also being scratching your head and asking how on earth can a minister speak like this? How is it ok for a Home Minister to say India will welcome any and every kind of religion as long as he/she is not a Muslim. The fact is Modi’s government overarching plan is to divide the Indian people on the basis of religion. How can a leader in a democratic and secular country like India give such baseless speech where third largest Muslim population of the world resides?
By delivering such speeches and by bringing such amendments what kind of message they want to deliver to the people of the country? How can they target one religion amongst so many? By doing this they are scaring Muslims and making them feel insecure in their own country, on the other side they’re telling Hindus that this country really belongs to them and they don’t have to fear about their citizenship. It’s very clear that BJP’s agenda is just to target Muslims and by doing this the government is misleading and dividing people of the country on the basis of religion.
While there are so many important topics to be looked upon and to be taken into consideration like decrease in GDP, increase in the crime of rape, illiteracy, unemployment, pollution etc., but seems like the government is only concerned to divide people on the grounds of religion and target a particular religion. If the amendments to the bill are passed it will be a great injustice to the Muslims of the country. People are unable to understand what exactly is going to happen to them. The problem with NRC is that it is not done as competently as it should have been and there are elements of prejudice.

Valid Concerns raised. But since Govt. has clarified categorically that refugees ?(other than muslims) are welcome, its a matter of prejudice against one community.
Really surprising
After the Amendment in citizenship Act 1955 intention is clearl
As except Muslims all other religion people are discriminated ,prosecuted or converted in our neighborhood. So they can be given citizenship.
First we need to understand why there are different set of rules imposed on muslims in non-muslim countries. Its because:
1) in general, muslims are considered to be extremists.. and non-muslims feel that inviting muslims in their country will add terrorist activities.
2) Muslims have high population growth. If you see Rohingya muslims, you will find a women having age 25 is a mother of 5 children. In general muslims deny any kind of birth control & hence they are not fit to live in civilized society.
3) Muslims lack in gender equality. In India, 50% muslim women are illiterate & no muslim leader has ever recorded this problem.
As far as India is concerned, we want to reduce terrorist activities & control muslim population growth & hence we do not encourage illegal muslim migrants in the country. These migrants should control their population growth & go back to their country.
The case of non-muslim migrant is different because India is surrounded by muslim countries & it is a fact that in muslim countries non-muslim community faces descremination.
