Washington : President Donald Trump, on Tuesday welcomed Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, to the White House indicating reaffirmation of his stand to support him as the next Saudi King.
Both the leaders have discussed about the possible deliberate halt to Iran Nuclear deal, in which Iran agreed to give up the means to make nuclear weapons as the United States and allies reduce economic sanctions on the Tehran government.
The two leaders are deliberated on issues like Saudi Arabia’s bitter dispute with its neighbour, Qatar; and the brutal civil war in Yemen, which has led lawmakers to propose a cut-off in American support for a Saudi-led bombing campaign that has killed thousands.
The 32 year old prince is making his first visit to the United State since becoming the heir apparent to King Salman back in June. His three-week tour includes stops in New York, Boston, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Houston.
While in Washington, the crown prince is a also scheduled to meet with the secretaries of defence, treasury, and commerce, as well as congressional leaders from both parties.
