Bhim Sena chief Nawab Satpal Tanwar has announced a bounty of Rs 1 core for whoever cuts the tongue of former BJP spokesperson who is currently in limelight for her insulting remarks on Prophet Muhammad.
In a vide message, he said that Sharma has insulted the prophet and hurt crores of Muslims living in India. He added that it is due to her that the country is facing humiliation across the world.
Bhim Sena is an anti-caste group based in Gurugram, Haryana. It was founded by Tanwar in October 2010.
His reaction came amid an ongoing international outcry over Sharma’s remarks. Several Muslim countries have raised their concerns over the same and some of them have demanded an apology from the BJP-led government.
In the wake of growing pressure, the BJP suspended Sharma and expelled Delhi BJP’s media in-charge Javeen Kumar Jindal on 5 June. After her suspension, Sharma announced withdrawal of her statement on Twitter.
