On a day, a policeman reportedly kicked and disrupted Muslims praying on the road in the Inderlok area, the Delhi Police issued a traffic advisory advising commuters to avoid certain routes due to the Mahashivratri celebration, indicating a deeper communal bias that impacts marginalized communities, notably Muslims.
While the Delhi Police advised commuters to take alternative routes to ease traffic flow during the Shivratri celebration and reduce inconvenience to the public, the incident involving the mistreatment of Muslims praying highlights a contradiction in their approach.
Delhi Police on 8 March shared on X: “In view of MahaShivaratri celebrations at Shiv Murti, Mahipalpur, traffic will remaiin affected on NH48, Rao Tula Ram Marg till 11:30 PM. Kindly avoid these roads & use Metro or take Parade Road, Dwarka Link Road, Delhi Cantt route to go to Airport or Gurugram”. They recommended using alternative routes such as the Metro or Parade Road, Dwarka Link Road, Delhi Cantt to reach the Airport or Gurugram in order to avoid inconvenience.
These two events underscored the significant difference between the Narendra Modi government claims of inclusivity and the discriminatory actions on grounds against Muslims.
The challenges faced by minority communities are not limited to discriminatory treatment by law enforcement but also manifest in broader social dynamics, as evidenced by the unequal treatment of religious practices in public spaces. While Hindu rituals such as chanting Hanuman Chalisa and singing bhajans are openly embraced and even promoted in various settings including airports, flights, platforms, and trains, Muslims are often subjected to harassment, detention, and arrest for engaging in similar expressions of faith, such as offering prayers in public places like platforms and colleges. This glaring double standard perpetuates a culture of discrimination and intolerance, eroding the fundamental principles of secularism and equality enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
Moreover, the disparities in treatment extend to the management of religious gatherings and festivals. During the annual Kanwar Yatra, millions of devotees throng the streets, causing significant disruptions to public life. Despite the inconvenience caused to commuters, authorities often impose bans on the sale of meat along the routes reserved for Kanwariyas, privileging the religious practices of one community over others. The preferential treatment extended to Hindu pilgrims, exemplified by gestures like Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath showering flower petals on Kanwariyas, further underscores the systemic bias ingrained within the administration.
The use of Indian Air Force (IAF) choppers for showering flower petals over Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple premises in Ayodhya and the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a religious ceremonies are itslef a violation of mission of IAF and the spirit of Constitution.
The facilitation of Hindu religious ceremonies and rituals by machineris of government and the mistreatment of Muslims by law enforcement agencies expose the pervasive nature of Islamophobia within societal structures. Addressing systemic biases and promoting inclusivity is essential to fostering a more equitable and tolerant society where all citizens can coexist peacefully, regardless of their religious beliefs. It is imperative for authorities to uphold the principles of justice and equality and ensure that the rights of minorities are protected and respected.

WHEN I SEE KANWARIYAS – I SEE MONGRELS ON THE MOVE
I QUOTE THE GREAT BABAR IN BABARNAMA (LIKE CAESEAR IN BATTLES WITH THE GAULS AND POMPEI)
“Hindustan is a country of a few charms.
Its people have no good looks, no good manners, no genius or capacity. There are no good horses, no good dogs, no grapes, muskmelons or good fruits, no ice or cold water, no bread or cooked food in the markets.. Their residences have no charm, air, regularity or symmetry.
SO EVEN AT TIMES OF BABAR – HINDOOS LOOKED LIKE DOGS AND HAD NO TASTE AND REFINEMENT. THEY DID NOT EVEN HAVE GOOD DOGS !
Peasants and poor people move about mostly naked. The males use mostly languta and the females covered their body only with one cloth.”
PEOPLE SAY Y DO KANWARIYAS LOOK LIKE DOGS ? LIKE THE PEOPLE IN YOU PEE AND BEEHAR !
U LOOK LIKE WHAT U EAT ! HINDOOS AND RAMA EAT RATS AND LIZARDS !
